BenQ Projector
The Ultimate Home Entertainment
One of the outstanding BenQ projector products is the BenQ W6000 projector. This BenQ DLP projector can provide great movie experience moments right in your own living room. BenQ pegged W600 projector as their ultimate home entertainment projector This BenQ projector features high-definition visual with its 2500 ANSI lumen high brightness, 50000:1 ultra-high contrast ratio, and HQV image quality. Now for those of us who did not graduate in engineering let’s just say that with this projector we can enjoy our favorite show with an excellent and sharp image quality, fantastic colors and feel a bit closer to our idols on the screen.
Now to go a bit into the details of what all the technical specs conceal: The W6000 projector possesses the features to give us the exquisite audio-visual experience that BenQ vouches for in their product design philosophy. The W6000 BenQ projector’s 2500 ANSI lumen high brightness. The higher the value of the projector’s ANSI lumen the further it can go away from the screen and the larger its projection power becomes. Just so that we are all on the same page here, 1,000 ANSI lumens are the minimum threshold of light to be able to project in a small room. So the BenQ W6000 projector with 2500 ANSI lumens provides a high quality image in our home movie room.
The 50000:1 ultra-high contrast ratio that the BenQ W6000 projector features is to be understood as the ratio of light output between the very brightest and very darkest part of the image on the screen. The higher the contrast ratio the more striking image results we get on our screens. The BenQ W6000 will provide us with sharp and crisp images for all our movies, shows and sporting events that we love to follow on our home theatres.
On a final note HQV means Hollywood Quality Video image quality. This BenQ DLP projector W6000 gives us true 1080p high definition video quality for all our Hollywood blockbusters that we chose to watch on lazy days from the comfort of our home. Also with HQV technology feature on this BenQ projector our lower resolution videos would likewise be converted to a full HD-like image quality as well both digital and analog.
I bought the projector and I love it and so does my family. We had lots of fun using it. If you are shopping around for a new projector for your cinema at home this is a great one to go for! You can find the W6000 BenQ projector online on Amazon at US$2,100. We haven’t been able to find cheaper…
Other Great Valued Entertainment Projector
A BenQ projector has other great entertainment projectors in it’s wide product selection with more attractive price tags. Here is the BenQ projector W600. The W600 BenQ projector I available at just about US$800. This is a toned down version of W6000. The W600 provides a high definition screen capability. This BenQ projector has ANSI lumen brightness of 2600 and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. The image will be not quite as crisp as the W6000 but the same we can say about the price tag! If used in a normal size room as a home entertainment device the W600 will well live up to expectations and provide for a lot of fun movie moments!
In the following let’s take a quick look at the mini BenQ projector: the Joybee GP1. When size matters and one wants something easy to handle and portable that still provides great image quality this is a good way to go. The Joybee GP1 is a palmsize projector that is 100% lamp-free. It uses BenQ’s latest 3LED Technology as the light source and is highly energy efficient. The Joybee can screen videos with its 100 ANSI lumen brightness and be at any colored surfaced with its Color Correction Technology. The Joybee GP1 BenQ projector is available at US$400 from Amazon. It is the cheapest we found.
LCD Projector from BenQ
The three projectors above are DPL projectors. Meaning that the lamp light is reflected off through a DLP chip. In comparison an LCD projector splits that light into three beams and passes it through its own LCD panel. This is essentially what makes a DLP and LCD projectors different. There are noted advantages and disadvantages on each projector. Let us take a quick look at the BenQ LCD projector W500. It has 1100 ANSI Lumen and 5000:1 contrast ratio.
The W500 BenQ LCD projector also features a resolution of 720p, Dynamic Iris (aperture adjustment capability), Hollywood Quality Video Processing for HD and 2D keystone. This BenQ projector provides the viewer with the best viewing experience. With similar features to the DLP BenQ projector this item is available for about US$1,300 on Amazon. Amazon also sells second-hand projectors which is great if you are on a tight budget. It is more economical compared to the W6000 and provides a similar viewing experience. However the difference can be detected in case we intend to use the projector in a rather spacious room. In case we have a large home theatre I would recommend the BenQ projector W6000.
DLP Projector versus LCD Projector
To sum it all up let’s look at some pros and cons: DLP projectors have smoother video, are more compact in size, low pixilation, close to movie theatre quality, highe contrast.
One problem with the DLP projectors is that they use color wheel after each light has been reflected it may create occasionally a rainbow effect. Moreover, DLP projectors have a slightly more poor red and yellow color at full power compared to LCD projectors and need more lumens against ambient light.
LCD projectors, on the other hand, have richer color dynamics in a room with ample ambient light. They consume less energy and create less heat. LCD projectors do not use a color filter wheel so they create no rainbow effect whole screening. Images projected on screen are sharper. However, since LCD projectors use digital images thus they create more pixels on screen. These projectors are significantly larger in size compared to a DLP even with the same lumens. LCD projectors have poorer contrast so occasionally the shades of black would appear as gray.
Conclusion
State of the art home entertainment is really the selling point of any BenQ projector. If a projector is what you are currently shopping for the BenQ projector is a great piece of your entertainment showcase. If you want to get the WOW when your friends come over to enjoy a live game or a new blockbuster than with the BenQ projector you are on the safe site.
